June Stardust Mixtape

POV: You get on a train in a small town along the Sacramento river early in the morning, then try to write science fiction in the café car while the breathtaking scenery of the southwest American desert rolls by on the route to Chicago.

This month's mixtape is inspired by my trip to the SFWA Nebulas in Chicago, which Amtrak assured me was one of the most beautiful train routes in America. Having taken it round trip now, spending over 100 hours total on the train, I can confirm: the route is fucking gorgeous.

The details of the trip itself I will save for its own post (with pictures!). For now, I invite you to settle in for some writing, drawing, housework, whatever you've got going on for about an hour and a half, and enjoy the ride.
